REBECCA'S STORY
What does freedom mean to you?
It means I get to do what I love every day, and can tailor my work priorities to my values, not someone else’s.
Why did you pursue the Women in Freedom Photoshoot?
After opening my law practice, I wanted professional photos that captured the sense of empowerment I was feeling, and my dedication to my practice and my clients.
Share a bit about your personal story and where you are today. In what ways have you stepped into your freedom recently?
After a lot of soul searching, I conquered the demons of self doubt, and mustered the confidence to strike my own path, set my own standards of excellence and provide top notch services to veterans from the law firm I founded.
How has this life of freedom had a positive impact on you?
Working for myself, I can set my hours and work to the tasks, rather than having my days dictated by the clock or you someone else’s priorities. I feel like I cut out the middle man, and am able to bring my full self to the tasks at hand to represent my clients zealously without unnecessary bureaucratic busywork.
What was the most meaningful aspect of this photoshoot to you?
I loved being able to let the color and character of my hometown and my personality shine through with this shoot.
How do you plan to hold onto this feeling of unique freedom?
I plan to continue growing my skill and base while taking on various leadership roles in the legal and local communities.
