What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom is a gift God has given us to live in the way He designed us to, become the people He created us to be individually.
Why did you pursue the Women in Freedom Photoshoot?
For one, Kelsey is a long time personal friend and I love her work. Also, I am at a stage in my life where I'm really celebrating what God has done in me and who He has made me to be, and He's brought me into a season of gratefulness for the opportunities and dreams I've chased in becoming the woman He's designed me to be.
Share a bit about your personal story and where you are today. In what ways have you stepped into your freedom recently?
I've lived a life of hustling and working and learning, and with graduating college, I can finally fully pursue the career and ministry dreams God has placed on my heart. I left my hometown, started an intense but rewarding career in ministry, and living life to the fullest at 22. I've always been a creative (art, music, etc.) and knew I was called to creative arts ministry, but now I can actually pursue that full time. Nothing is more fulfilling than pursuing your calling and helping others find theirs.
How has this experience shaped the way you see yourself?
It's just validated the strong and creative woman God has called me to be. He specifically built me for this. It's given me confidence and joy.
How has this life of freedom had a positive impact on you?
I can walk in confidence knowing I'm doing what He's made me to do.
What was the most meaningful aspect of this photoshoot to you?
Getting to go crazy creative with fancy things I would never actually wear with a fellow creative. These photos also EXUDE the confidence in the season I'm living out.
How do you plan to hold onto this feeling of unique freedom?
I'm just continuing to remind myself that I'm becoming the woman God's called me to be, and with that comes so much assurance that I'm doing everything right and I can enjoy it. I also like (and probably need) to remind myself to have fun while I'm working hard and making dreams come true.
